The hard part was Requirement 2: do a new chore for two months. The rest was quick and easy.

Whoever thought this up didn't stop to think that probably a parent has to check up on chores for a child this age. We already had plenty of chores in place. I strongly suggested that my son take on leaf raking and snow shoveling as his additions, which were not daily tasks, to limit my load. Another parent might feel very differently about this topic, I'm sure.
